The skeptic sides of me

Love is a beautiful thing! In fact, life is an overflowing beauty to be unveil and one of those beauty is finding love. So i noticed lots of my friends are getting married this year. While i'm happy for them for getting married there's this little bit skeptic side of me that's wondering, will it last? It amuses me seeing those that got married after dating for few months. How do you know that person is the one ? When you're in love everything seems so perfect, but unfortunately the first few months of dating are about "being in love": we dress to impress, behave to impress and react to impress. How do you know when you're in love and differentiate if it was only a temporary butterflies or if it was really meant to be ? Does our society put a pressure on us which lead us to rush and get married? Does seeing your friends getting married makes you want to be in the same boat and make you believe that the next one you date gotta be and must be the one? I believe love is sacred and finding the one is a journey that begins with friendship. It is one thing that worth the wait.
I'm a skeptic, make me a believer!

To those I've missed...

Sunny: The past 6 months gotta be the best time of my life. Starting from the summer, when everything just so freely moving, that weren't responsible for any homework or school related stuffs! I missed those days we just lay by the pool, or those days we ate too many Korean foods followed by awesome Korean coffee afterwards. The Tulsa trip and other unnecessary trips we took just because! The late night Jerry's playing cards and talk about practically nonsense and many other things in life. I missed those crazy funny stories you told me and the way you pronounce some words. Just learning English or what? You totally brought a sun down to Weatherford, and literally after you left Weatherford had been snowing for days lol.

Kanchana: Wow girl, has it been really 5 years since i've known you? Time flies like crazy! You just left and i missed you already! I missed those nights we spent drinkin coffee or wine over some Ray Montag or Chantal Chamberland. I missed those days we took random pics just because we got nothing better to do. I missed those days we dress up for no reason other than it's a good day to be dress up for lol. I missed those time when you did laundry at my place cos that means more coffee and jazz. I missed those times in Bourbon cafe or the cooking session we had. I'm looking forward for days we can do those again!

Simon Kapovic: I wish you knew that you're not just a chapter of my life. Some 8 months ago are some good times. I missed those nights we spent playing poker or talk 24/7. I missed those times of watching you attempting to cook these random foods while keeping Cooper away from eating it. I missed seeing Cooper around and he made me want to have an Alaskan Malamute myself. I missed the times we play too much Missy Higgins on youtube that sadly i remember the lyrics of the whole CD. I missed the times that we spent watching random tv and Australian news. I wish you knew that i appreciated those times we had.

Jess & Vina: What a crazy fast year! All of us are moved on and life takes us to different places. I missed those times in Junior High where everyday is all about fun and maybe even too much fun. Sigh* Don't you just hate goodbyes and distance. I missed those time of Internship 2008, where we were the talk of the town while unashamedly ate too much indo foods and getting yelled at for adopting American life style (aka gak mau mandi tiap hari hehe). I missed the late night calls and those times we posted unnecessary pictures on facebook. I ridiculously can't wait for another time when we are all in the same town!
